Is it EASY to make from blogging? No.
Is blogging easy? No, and they know it doesn’t look like it, but that’s the point.
So exactly who are the bloggers raking in the truly big bucks? A few surprising names: Pink Peonies’ Rachel Parcell (who, by the way, is only 23 years old) is slated to make around $960,000 this year from RewardStyle afilliate earnings alone.
Bag Snob’s Tina Craig and Kelly Cook are also reaching into the upper six-figure bracket, with their total income expected to surpass the $1 million any day now.

“People outside of this bubble don’t consider it a job, they don’t see what goes into the production of the content we publish. I don’t think everyone realizes that you can make a good living doing this, either. There are some huge perks to the job no doubt; travel, events, having brand send you freebies. This industry is glamorous, yes, but it can be a strain.
“Though, it’s a constant hustle. You have to constantly prove what you’re worth in this business. It’s competitive and pressure-packed. The pressure is to deliver content every day is always there, and something else you need to remember is that when you are making money, you will loose creative freedom, because someone is paying for that post.
“To get ahead you’ll need a point of difference, that no downloadable filter app can give you. Are you about fashion, food, lifestyle? Yeah – well so is everyone else. What’s special about you? What’s your point of difference? Once you know your point of difference you need to start understanding your audience, your followers, and creating content that really stands out and resonates with them. It’s much more than pretty pictures and boomerangs!”
